Where were you before Marne?

I grew up in Stanton, IA. I went to University of Iowa for college. Then Mike and I lived several different places when he was working for Alco. We lived in Omaha, NE; Wichita, KS; North Platte, NE, Dodge City, KS; Canton, SC and the finally Atlantic, IA.

What would you do tomorrow if you had a million dollars?

I would probably live much as I do now. I enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. I would buy some farmland, because my Grandpa said it was the best investment a person could make.

Are you an early bird or night owl?

I am definitely not an early bird. I can enjoy the sunrise from pictures other people take.

Do you have a bucket list? What’s on it?

No bucket list for me. Simple living is the best for me. Trips to visit my two daughters and two grandsons are the top of my list.

What did your teachers say about you?

That I could accomplish anything I wanted to do. Also, that I listened to my dad and put sports first and school second. My dad loved to kid the teachers with this.
